Real Housewives Real Talk: Week of 10/22/17

I have a huge obsession with almost the entire Real Housewives franchise. I am a proud follower of Orange County, Beverly Hills, New York, and New Jersey. While watching each dramatic episode, I have a lot of thoughts and opinions and I think it would be very therapeutic for me to express them here. I will be doing a weekly recap of everything that goes down in any episodes that aired that week. Welcome to my first Real Housewives Real Talk!

Real Housewives of Orange County

I was really happy to see Vicki and Tamra actually enjoying each other’s company. While I understand Tamra’s hesitance to let Vicki back into her life, their chemistry is undeniable and I just feel like with everything they have been through, it’s time to rekindle their friendship.

I was really disappointed in how Tamra disregarded how upset Lydia was about being left out of the group text. Lydia invited all of them to Iceland and it was rude that Tamra didn’t add her to the group chat. I am sure that it was unintentional but no one likes to feel left out.

I am shocked at how mellow Kelly is so far this season. She’s so low key and just down to have a good time and I love it.

Shannon needs to stop talking about her weight. I thought it was going to be part of the storyline for one or two episodes but when she was complaining about her ATV protective gear being a size medium, I almost lost it. We get it. You gained weight. Lots of people gain weight. But lots of people don’t want to hear about other people’s weight gain so shhhh.

Peggy is one of the least exciting housewives I have seen in a while.

As for Meghan, she’s pretty irrelevant.

Real Housewives of New Jersey

Let me just say, I am SO excited that my Jersey girls are finally back. I have always loved Melissa and Teresa and even though I miss Dina and Caroline, Siggy and Dolores are pretty good alternatives.

However, I am so over Siggy bringing up the freakin birthday cake. Who knew a birthday cake was worth talking about for three episodes?! She absolutely overreacted about the cake being thrown. It was made for Melissa and Melissa had the right to do whatever she wanted with it. It’s not like they were inside the restaurant throwing cake. It was innocent fun. The whole trip was about Teresa having fun and yeah maybe throwing cake isn’t the best way to do that, but Siggy should have been happy that Teresa was laughing and had a smile on her face. THEN Siggy had the audacity to humiliate Melissa in front an entire house full of guests by bringing up the cake for the millionth time. That was so rude of her to ask all of her guests if it was wrong to throw a cake in a restaurant and embarrass Melissa like that. If I was Melissa, I would have flipped – hey maybe I would have flipped some more cake or flipped some tables Teresa-style.

Siggy seriously needs to stop being so emotional. She just cries and cries and cries. I get her friends are important to her and her son is important to her but enough with the tears. Toughen up – you’re from Jersey.

I’m also shocked that Dolores didn’t stick up for Melissa and Teresa about the whole cake thing and when Siggy was calling them trash and animals. But I do love the four of them and I’m really hoping they can kiss and make up.

Buttttttttt, I don’t know how easy that will be with Danielle around. As soon as Danielle told Teresa that Dolores said Teresa only cares about money, I could smell the bullshit. Dolores would NEVER say anything like that, especially not to Danielle because she is already weary of Danielle’s return to the friend group. Danielle has always been shady and I do not trust her at all. As long as Danielle is around, there will be drama.

I am nervous that the restaurant Joe bought is going to cause issues between Teresa and Melissa even though things have been going so well.

I was really excited that there were barely any scenes with Margaret in tonight’s episode – she is way too much for me. From the pigtails to all the pink, she is just someone I would never choose to be around.
