Essie holiday nail-spiration

#PlayingKoi is in my top three favorite shades of Essie ever. It is the perfect burnt orange color that reminds me of crisp air, crunchy leaves, and carving pumpkins. I find myself wearing it for almost all of the fall months every year.

#SocialLights is one of the colors in the new Essie winter 2017 collection. It is a sparkly grey that has some hints of gold. I plan on wearing this with whatever New Year’s Eve outfit I decide on because it is the perfect complement to the simple, sparkly dresses worn for the holiday.

#NewYearNewHue is also one of the colors in this year’s winter collection. I am actually wearing it right now and I am OBSESSIE. It is the perfect blend of berry colors but has the most beautiful purple tint. It is the perfect balance of being warm but also being edgy enough for the winter months.

#BerryNaughty is one of my favorites because at first it appears black until your hands are in the light. It actually has a hint of dark red that reminds of velvet and I consider velvet a classic Christmas fabric.

#ArubaBlue is a great unexpected complement to your holiday wardrobe. This shade is the perfect blue for anyone daring to be different. It is a beautiful, shiny cobalt that appears almost metallic once it is on. I think Essie creators meant for this to be a summer color (considering they named it ‘Aruba’) but I think it is definitely dark enough for the winter months.

It was really hard to choose my favorite holiday shades out of the 37 bottles I own. These five just really stand out to me and I love how different they all are. I tend to wear brighter colors in the summer and darker colors in the winter so that helped me narrow it down. I like to get a little fancy around the holidays and that is how I was able to choose these five colors – they are fun, fabulous, and just a touch of magical.

Happy Holidays!
