The last ten movies I watched (pt. 4)

Title: Lean on Me (1989)

Format: TV recording

Personal rating: 9/10

Comments: So good. So moving. So many goosebumps. Such an incredible story. Morgan Freeman is fantastic, as always. A great feel-good movie.

Title: Swimfan (2002)

Format: TV recording

Personal rating: 7/10

Comments: So many babies! Even a baby Jason Ritter. Erika Christensen plays a great crazy person wow. It’s good. The only other thing I’ve seen Jesse Bradford in is Bring It On. It’s good, it’s wild. It’s hard to believe things like that happen but they absolutely do.

Title: Juice (1992)

Format: TV recording

Rating: 7/10

Comments: Damn. It’s wild. It’s really good and really interesting. I didn’t know Tupac acted and he was incredible. It’s pretty freaking sad.

Title: Road House (1989)

Format: TV recording

Rating: 6/10

Comments: Young(er) Sam Elliott?! AMAZING. I didn’t even realize it was him at first. Until he talked, obviously. It’s good. I mean, I love Patrick Swayze so everything he’s in is good to me. Who knew being a bouncer is such an important job. I probably wouldn’t watch it again though.

Title: Us (2019)

Format: In theaters

Rating: 7/10

Comments: Okay so it’s only getting this high of a rating because I can appreciate a well-made film. The writing, directing, acting: all incredible. The plot? So damn confusing. I don’t even know if a plot exists. I left feeling so confused which is my least favorite feeling after a movie. It made no sense to me and whatever the meaning is, it went right over my head.

Title: Pet Sematary (2019)

Format: In theaters

Rating: 4/10

Comments: IT’S AWFUL. Not scary at all. Maybe jumped twice. It’s so bad. The acting isn’t terrible – especially the little girl; she’s pretty good. The storyline is awful. The ending is awful. Everything is awful.

Title: The Curse of La Llorona (2019)

Format: In theaters

Rating: 6/10

Comments: Wayyy better than Pet Sematary as far as horror movies go. It isn’t that bad. Pretty cheesy but aren’t all horror movies? At least there’s a plot and a resolution.

Title: Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019)

Format: Netflix

Rating: 7/10

Comments: The acting is really good. I really enjoyed it. Ted Bundy was whack. Zac Efron did a really great job portraying him and I think it was a great casting move. The chemistry between Efron and Collins is real.

Title: The Last Summer (2019)

Format: Netflix

Rating: 7/10

Comments: It’s cute! I love me some KJ Apa. He’s so dreamy. Lots of lessons can be learned from this movie. It’s a nice romantic movie about young love. Very cute.

Title: Papillon (2017)

Format: Amazon Prime Video

Rating: 7/10

Comments: It’s based on a true story. A little too violent for me. It was nice to see a Charlie Hunnam/Tommy Flanagan reunion though. My mom and I watched this because it was the story that inspired Ted Bundy’s prison escape. It’s a movie about friendship, freedom, and faith. I enjoyed it.
